ECTE supported the establishment of formal organization for transportation workers. Our collaboration with VPMS and efforts to organize women workers led to the city's decision to create women-only pick-up spots at three metro stations, with plans for expansion.
5-day capacity-building workshop with Storiculture, training 60 women workers in storytelling, financial literacy, and the basics of unions, collectives, and cooperatives.
The VPMS members, including Mohana, with support from ECTE, presented at the cooperative business model pitch competition and emerged as winners. The event, hosted by India's leading business school, was covered by several respected newspapers, including The Hindu.
