Overview
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Sex and Sexuality Education Intern to join our team. The intern will work closely with our Program Director and assist in the development and implementation of educational materials, programs, and events related to sex and sexuality education.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing educational materials, including lesson plans, interactive activities, and multimedia presentations for sex and sexuality education programs.
Collaborate with the team to organize and plan workshops and events on sex and sexuality education, including identifying potential speakers, preparing materials, and coordinating logistics.
Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners, educators, and other stakeholders.
Help to evaluate the effectiveness of sex and sexuality education programs and materials, including collecting and analyzing data and feedback from program participants.
Help with the development of marketing and outreach materials for the project, including social media and website content.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings and other relevant events and training.
Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in a relevant academic program (Bachelor’s or Master’s), such as human rights, education, public health, social work, gender studies, LGBTQIA studies, or psychology.
Strong interest in sexuality education and related topics, such as child development, sexual health, and gender and sexuality diversity.
Willingness to develop and maintain relationships with community partners, educators and potential stakeholders within the city.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with diverse populations and sensitive issues related to sexuality education.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
This is a paid internship with a minimum requirement of 20 hours per week. The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of sex and sexuality education and contribute to the development of innovative and effective educational programs and materials. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field and network with community partners and stakeholders.
