With the Gender and Policy Lab, we assessed 20 Chennai government schools on gender sensitivity, bullying, abuse prevention, and safety. Based on findings, our experts developed and reviewed content for a self-awareness curriculum.
Review Session for the Self-Awareness Curriculum
ECTE has expanded community engagement through gender, sex, and sexuality education. In partnership with Nirangal, ECTE documented the Pride March 2024 and supported LP4Y in providing workshops to empower marginalized youth with knowledge on inclusivity and equal rights.
The workshops and focus groups educated students on sex, gender, and sexuality to promote a gender-safe campus. It also equipped college teachers with tools to address restrictive expressions and discrimination, fostering an inclusive environment.
