Where We Are Today
We are delighted to highlight the significant milestones we've accomplished as a newly established non-profit organization.
We've signed a MoU with LEAD at Krea University (IFMR), Chennai. As part of our ongoing collaboration, the committee has chosen 10 essay proposals focusing on the socio-economic and political history of Chennai.
Additionally, the committee conducted its inaugural online workshop for participants from various parts of the world whose essays were selected.
Our project lead and content development expert, Ms. Shirly Grace Nirmala, has completed the primary school curriculum (for students aged 6-8), and the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) module for the community members. She is currently formulating a facilitator program to disseminate the curriculum across various public schools.
ECTE is actively pursuing a partnership with the Gender and Policy Lab to pilot the curriculum's dissemination in public schools in Chennai.
Our research assistant, Srini Kumar, is engaged in significant research endeavors. Her ongoing research includes a comprehensive analysis of the existing school curriculum, with a focus on identifying gaps and challenges, and providing recommendations for content enhancement.
